What is a PC amount?
PC stands for Prime Cost item. A Prime Cost item is an amount of money which has been allowed for an item in the project for which the labour which goes with that item has been included within the total price of the project. The PC amount is to supply the item only. An example is a toilet suite.
Why can’t you give me a per m² price without plans?
Plans help us to estimate the amount of construction material needed as well as the complexity of the project, which both impact price significantly. Therefore an accurate price per m² cannot be supplied without building plans.
Points to remember
Boundary walls and swimming pools are never included in the per m² price unless it is specified in your builders’ quote.
If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is!
Although it’s a new house it still needs to be maintained.
When doing an addition there might be unforeseen costs which was not initially in the m² price.
For example: You do a renovation and the BIC (built-in-cupboards) will no longer be in their original place. Upon removing the old BIC’s we discover the back walls were never plastered. This is something the builder could not possibly foresee and will result in extra time and costs.
why we can't give quotes before inspection
